The X Factor on ITV: Did the public really vote
Posted by Paul Farrow - Under: Personal
Having watched The X Factor on ITV for the last few weeks, I really dont think the public have voted at all, as it seemed that all the judges lost one person and tonight I just knew it was going to be one of Simon Cowells contestants that went even though G4 was the weakest or have been for the last few weeks.
I now think the next couple of weeks the real votes will be used but I really dont think they have so far, its just very wierd who has left the show and the particular order.
I thought that G4 where a refreshing change. Sharon hit the nail on the head with steve, he is faulse. I admire the lady for having the guts to say what she did. My brother told me that on the news Sunday 12/12/2004, where allegations of vote rigging, ime not surprised.
I think Simon Cowell wanted to win at all costs to put down the other judges, firmly in there places, he is capable of that. He radiates a ruthless side to him.
Having just watched the X factor, because I love to see talent developed, I believe the way the final judging is done is wrong, it cannot be left to just one judge to make a final vote, it is obvious that the mentors of the selected 2 finalists are going to choose their own, leaving the final judge in a very difficult position – I believe the final vote should go to the public – alternatively, the act with the lowest votes should be out – I know that the tension is meant to be part of the attraction and excitement of the contest, but to ask 2 contestants to stand in front of judges and to be eliminated like that is quite humiliating.
I believe in the final case, it is not about the acts but about the mentors which is totally wrong!!!
